How to prevent the Recycle Bin from being emptied automatically in Windows 10
Storage Sense automatically removes files you don't need, such as files and temporary items in the Recycle Bin, when disk space is low.
Since version 10014 of Windows 10, Microsoft has started adding a feature to automatically save storage space, which is the Storage Sense feature within your device's storage settings.
Storage Sense automatically deletes files older than 30 days in the Recycle Bin as well.
This feature is useful if the hard disk space on your computer is low, Windows will erase old files from Trash.
If you want to stop emptying the Recycle Bin automatically, here's how:
To find these options, go to Settings> System> Storage
You can press the Windows + I to open the settings window quickly.
If you want to prevent the Storage Sense sensor from doing anything automatically, you can turn off the Storage Sense switch.
To set up storage sense turn on the Storage Sense switch,
Click the link: "Configuring the storage capacity or operation of the sensor now" (Configure Storage Sense or run it now).
The "Run Storage Sense" box allows you to control when the operating system automatically turns on "Storage Sensor" on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, or only when the free disk space is low.
To prevent automatic file deletion, click the "Delete files in my recycle bin if they have been there for over" box, under the "Temporary Files" section and select "Never" (Never).

By default, Storage Sense automatically deletes files from the Recycle Bin 30 days after they are deleted.
