How to use the HWiNFO tool to check everything on a computer

How to use the HWiNFO tool to check everything on a computer

The first step that we follow once purchasing any new hardware parts is to test their condition, read their technical specifications and technical characteristics, and make sure that they are ready for the hard work at their maximum potential. There are many tools and programs that help us do this, but we should be careful when using programs that constitute a state of intense pressure on the central and graphic processor, especially during overclocking operations. These programs and their set of tests we call Benchmarking, Burn Test, and Stress Test, but in fact they have another, more accurate name, which is Power Virus or Energy Virus, and this ugly name that was named after it was the result of the severe stress that it creates on computing processors and the extraction of their entire energy at rates higher than Industrial proportions that were launched by.

That is why if you try to use these tools without experience or for long periods of time, they may cause damage to the hardware parts. You must be aware of this, and there is no need to rush and rush before reading and reviewing here and there until you are sure that you are ready to do this.

In order not to be the cause of any problems that occur to you, we have come to you today with a HWiNFO tool that is able to read the characteristics and status of hardware components without posing any danger to them, and in this way you have complete freedom to use it and benefit from all its features without fear or limits.

It is one of the best tools for reading the characteristics of the hardware very accurately and is characterized by continuous and continuous technical support by the developers, you can read all the sensors of the motherboard, the central and graphic processor, the random access memory and storage units in their various hard and mobile states and delve into knowing their characteristics, temperatures, condition and speeds of work. But it is not only limited to that, but also provides multiple types of reports and evidence that help us to ensure the safety of the components and the stability of their work and follow up their status even while we are away from the computer and not using it. Because it is a huge tool and is divided into several functions, it is best to start with you to explain how to use it extensively and benefit from it.

1- The first step after installing the tool, we press the command RUN

After installing the tool and pressing the Run command, the window shown in the previous image appears, which is a small summary that shows the type of central processor, its technical and programmatic characteristics, its manufacturing accuracy, the number of cores and the speed of its frequency, in addition to that, you will find the motherboard model and the integrated central chip. But we will close this window to see after that a more comprehensive and clarifying window in the next step.

    - Open the Sensors window

In this step, we click on the Sensor tab to see all the hardware cutoff sensors and their status. This window never ends, and the more components the computer contains, the more pages this window contains. You can switch between pages through the mini-tab located in the lower left of the Sensors window with the blue arrow mark, as shown in the picture. It is not necessary to read every small and large in these windows, but it contains some guides that help us to read the speed of the frequencies in detail, the temperatures, the output voltages, and more.

But before we close the Sensors window, we will try to benefit from it by installing the most important readings of the values for the hardware parts, which indicate their status in the taskbar, next to the clock and date, so that we do not open this window again whenever we want to look at these readings. It is preferable to add only the most important readings that clarify the condition of computer processors, but you are completely free to add any readings of any sensors that you deem necessary for you.

    - Add values in toolbar to monitor them all the time

In this step, we have chosen the maximum temperature the central processor can reach by pressing the Core Max value of the right mouse button "Right Click" and then choosing the Add to tray command, and the CPU temperature value will appear next to the clock.

    - Change the color appearance of the value readings

In the previous image, you will find that the value you want to see appears continuously in the toolbar. We chose the value of CPU Max and Total CPU Usage, which is the value that shows the percentage of CPU resource usage, the GPU Temperature value, and the current DL rate "download" value. You can change the colors of the values according to your desire by clicking on the value you want to change its color "Right Click", then choosing the Change Color command, and from the new colors tab, choose the color that suits you and then click OK.

    - Activate the appearance of values within the games screen

Of course, you can add any number of values that you prefer to monitor their status while you are in the games, but you should first install and run the Riva Tuner Static Statistics Server tool, nicknamed RTSS, because it is responsible for the readings appearing from within the DirectX software library. Then go to the HWiNFO tool again and then click on the "gear sign" at the bottom of the Sensors window, then from the top of the new window, click on the "OSD (RTSS") tab located at the top. After that, choose the value you want to appear in the game by clicking on it "Left Click" To select it and then activate the box next to the Show Value In OSD command, and if you want all of its values to appear in its name in the games, activate the next box also Show Label in OSD.

    - Arranging and organizing the appearance of value readings within games

Certainly, you can show all the values according to their order and choose the line number or column number in which each value will appear, and this is by clicking on the value to be arranged and then choosing the line number from the Line tab as in the picture. In the image there is a central processor that contains four nuclei, so we have arranged the appearance of all kernels in one line, but it is possible to choose all of your processor cores to appear on one line, but you arrange their column through the Column tab, and this way the values will appear next to each other.

As you continue to use the tool and by continuing to rely and get used to it, you will be able to understand all the functions of the OSD screen (RTSS) very easily, and you will definitely benefit from it with your games.

    - Record the operation state that the computer goes through

This step is the most important especially for those coming to overclocking situations or who are facing problems in the instability of computer components work, where we will create a record that can save the state that the computer hardware parts are going through in a .CVS file, then choose a name for this file and a place to save it (preferably the surface the desk). This file will provide us with a comprehensive report of the condition the computer is going through during the period of running the HWiNFO tool, but in order to open this file you will need another tool called GenericLogViewer.

    - Open the Comprehensive Computer Status Report file

This means that you have complete freedom to leave the computer completely and then re-monitor the situation it went into during your absence and away from it. After running the new tool, click on Open File, then choose HWiNFO, and then you will be prompted to enter the report file that you previously saved from its location path.

    - Clarification of HWiNFO data and readings

You will find all the readings in front of you in a wonderful and professional way in the form of graphs that make you able to check the state of the computer during your absence or while you are in the games or during the break of speed or when you have encountered problems in the instability of the work of the computer. You will always find that the voltage output and frequency speed readings are of great importance in clarifying the stability of the working system.

As you continue to deal with the HWiNFO tool, you will find it your best friend instead of any tool dedicated to reading and reviewing the state of cutting hardware, and as you get used to it, you will realize how important it is and how much benefit it brings to users. In the end, if you face any problems installing the tools that we mentioned in the explanation, or want any help in clarifying some of their functions, we will wait to hear from you.
